Men's Basketball Loses Heartbreaker In Overtime To Lafayette, 70-69

PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) - Brian Ehlers scored 19 points, including four in overtime, to lead Lafayette to a 70-69 comeback win over Princeton, its first victory in Jadwin Hall since 1954.
The game ended after Princeton's C.J. Chapman missed what would have been a game-winning 3-pointer with seconds left. Lafayette's Brian Burke had hit a 3-pointer with 1:01 to go that gave Lafayette a 70-68 edge and the lead for good.
At the end of regulation, Ehlers missed a mid-range jumper at the buzzer, sending the game to overtime, tied 63-63.
Early in the second half, Princeton and Lafayette passed the lead back and forth three times until center Stefan Ciosici hit a free throw with 13:12 left, sparking a 7-0 Lafayette run that gave the Leopards a 52-46 edge. Lafayette (8-4) led by as many as eight points during the second period, but Princeton tied the game at 63-63 when Spencer Gloger hit a 3-pointer with 2:15 to go.
Princeton trailed Lafayette for most of a very close first half, until Chapman hit a 3-pointer to cap a 7-0 run that put the Tigers up 29-27 with 3:51 to go in the period.
Princeton (7-7) gave up the lead three times after that, but regained it with 18 seconds left when Gloger hit a pair of free throws to give Princeton a halftime edge of 38-36.
Gloger, who had 21 points, made 4 of 5 free throws to lead Princeton during a stretch when neither team led by more than five.
Chris Young led Princeton scoring with 24, and Chapman added 10 points.
Tyson Whitfield had 17 for Lafayette, Burke added 13 and Ciosici had 10.
