Women's Golf Wins Ivy League Championship

Jamesburg, N.J. - The Princeton women's golf team captured the Ivy League Championship at Forsgate Country Club on Monday afternoon, as it defeated Yale by nine strokes. The Tigers made 96 pars during the tournament, 18 more than runner-up Yale.
Julia Allison won the individual title with a two-day score of 149 (73-76), and Esty Dwek captured second place with a score of 154 (78-76). Also, Adrienne Gill, Natalie Christensen and Vanessa Redman all finished in the top-14.
"This is a really special win for us, because this is the first year that the winner of the Ivy League receives an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament," said women's Coach Eric Stein.
Bids for the NCAA tournament will be determined in two weeks.
