Darren Spicer Named Ivy League Rookie Of The Week

Princeton, N.J. - Darren Spicer was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after leading Princeton past American last Wednesday night. The Tiger freshman scored with just five seconds remaining to give the Tigers a 3-2 win.
For Spicer, it was his second game-winning goal already this season. He also notched an overtime goal to lift Princeton past LaSalle on Sept. 22. Spicer leads the team in scoring with six points on his two goals and two assists. He has a .375 shot-on-goal percentage and has played in all 10 games this season.
When Spicer scores the Tigers are 2-0, otherwise they are 2-6-2 on the year and 0-2 in the Ivy League. Princeton is in action tomorrow afternoon at Loyola, playing the Greyhounds in a 4 p.m. contest. The defending Ivy champs return to Lourie-Love Field on Friday, Oct. 18 and host Brown at 7:30 p.m.
