Pottsboro, Texas - The Princeton University men's golf team opened the spring season with rounds of 313 and 307 at the Pepsi Intercollegiate in Pottsboro, Texas on Saturday evening. The Tigers sit in 10th place after day one, 34 strokes back of first-place Michigan State.
Senior James Milam was Princeton's top finisher on day one with rounds of 78 and 75 to place him in a tie for 22nd among all individuals. Freshman Creighton Page finshed 10 strokes over par with a 36-hole score of 154.
Sophomore Greg Johnson scored rounds of 77 and 78 to finish the first day of play with a 155 while freshman David Huestis rebounded nicely from a first-round score of 82 to shoot a second-round 76. Sophomore Jon Nuger finshed the day with a two-round score of 161.
The Pepsi Intercollegiate concludes play at Tanglewood Resort on Sunday, March 24 with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
