Women's Golf Sits Fifth After First Day of Mary Fossum Invitational

East Lansing, Mich. - The Princeton women's golf team sits fifth, 11 strokes back of first, after playing the first two rounds of the Mary Fossum Invitational on Saturday at Michigan State.
Michigan leads the overall standing with a combined 609 (306-303). Michigan State sits second with a 612 (303-309), followed by Wisconsin's 613 (305-308), Northwestern's 613 (310-305) and Princeton's 620 (310-305).
Sharla Cloutier is the top Tiger in the individual rundown in a tie for seventh. She sho a 78 and a 75 and is tied with five others at +9. Michigan's Brianna Broderick leads the tournament and is the only golfer at par.
Two Tigers, Avery Kiser and Annike Welander, sit one stroke off of Cloutier's pace in a tie for 13th at +3. Kiser shot a 78 and a 76, while Welander put together rounds of 72 and 82. Taryn Haladay shot an 87 and a 76 and is tied for 51st. Alexis Etow (86-79) and Meg Nakamura (81-84) are tied at 62.
The tournament concludes on Sunday morning at the Forest Akers West Golf Course.
