"We have unique chemistry, we had a good spring and a physical training camp. The formula for our success has been to build a team around defense, the kicking game and playing penalty-free and turnover-free on offense. But you need to make plays on offense as well and I think we've started to do that this year."

"[Jeff] Terrell has thrown more but there's not much difference in the play calling. There are a lot of weapons on that side of the ball, so it's not just preparing for the quarterback."

"There's not a sense of panic on the sidelines if something goes bad. We've played two pretty good opponents. I don't think Lafayette has lost since we played them and I wouldn't expect San Diego to lose another game this year. The competition we've faced will serve us well this year."
