LORETTO, Pa. - Men's volleyball coach Glenn Nelson knew that there would be plenty of growing pains associated with his young men's volleyball squad. Those pains continued in a tough 3-0 loss at St. Francis in a match that could come back to bite Princeton down the road.
St. Francis won the match 30-25, 35-33, 30-24 to improve to 2-1 in the EIVA, while Princeton fell to 0-1 in the league and 0-5 on the year.
The second game was the killer for Princeton, which held a 27-23 lead but could not put the game away. St. Francis rallied for five straight points to take a 28-27 lead, and it would hold on and finally put the Tigers away 35-33 in the game.
Sophomore Peter Eichler and junior Jack Pichard had 14 and 12 kills, respectively, for the Tigers.
