Women's Golf Finishes Eighth at Thompson Invite in Hawaii

HONOLULU, Hawaii - Sharla Cloutier placed 11th at the Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Hawai'i on Wednesday as the Princeton women's golf team closed its spring trip tournament with an eighth-place finish.
Princeton finished with a 72-over 924 as a team for the three-round tournament. Tennessee, which had the top four individual finishers, ran away with the tournament, shooting a four-over 856, 38 shots ahead of second-place New Mexico.
Cloutier finished 11-over (76-74-74-224) as Tennessee's Marci Turner improved seven shots from her second-round score and posted a seven-under 64 through the final 18 holes. She won the tournament at -3 for the weekend.
Susannah Aboff finished tied for 18th with a 14-over 227 (71-79-77), while Marlowe Boukis tied for 33rd at 19-over (78-75-79), Alexis Etow was 52nd at 29-over (83-81-78) and Annika Welander tied for 53rd at 32-over (86-80-79).
The Tigers resume their spring season at the Georgetown Invitational April 1-2 in Leesburg, Va.
