Games 34 ? Princeton at St. John's
GAMETIME: Tuesday, April 24 at 7 p.m.

RECORDS: Princeton (12-21, 8-8 Ivy); St. John's (25-12, 11-4 Big East)
LAST GAME: St. John's won 17-5 at home on April 25, 2006
Projected Pitching Match-Up
Langford Stuber (1-0, 4.76) vs. Miguel Varcarcel (4-2, 5.09)
The Princeton baseball makes it annual trip to St. John's on Tuesday night for a mid-week non-conference game. The Tigers enter the game having won their last two games, a sweep Sunday afternoon at Penn.
Princeton needed to win both games at Penn on Sunday to stay alive in the race for the Gehrig Division title, and did just that by outlasting Penn 7-3 in 10 innings in the first game, and rallying from a 6-0 deficit to win the second game by a 10-6 score.
Princeton is now 8-8 in Ivy play and is three games behind Penn (11-7). Penn plays its final two games of the Ivy League season on Tuesday at Cornell, needing one win to clinch a share of the Ivy title and two wins to clinch the Ivy title. Should Penn and Cornell split, or Cornell sweep, the Tigers and Big Red would both have a chance at the division title entering this weekend's series between the two.
Princeton enters Tuesday's nights game against the Red Storm in search of its first non-league win since a 4-2 triumph at Longwood on March 24. The Tigers have dropped their three non-league games scheduled since the Ivy season began.
Princeton will send freshman Langford Stuber to the mound on Tuesday night. The rookie will make his first start for the Tigers, although he has appeared in 11 games and has a 4.76 ERA in more than 22 innings pitched. He will be opposed by St. John's Miguel Varcarcel, who is 4-2 with a 5.09 ERA in 23 innings.
St. John's is currently 11-4 in the Big East, which leaves them tied for second in the conference, just a game off of first-place Rutgers. The Red Storm is 25-14 overall this season and is coming off a weekend sweep of Georgetown in which one of its pitchers tossed a no-hitter. St. John's has won seven straight and 22 of its last 26 games.
St. John's and Princeton share two common opponents. The pair has each faced Rutgers and Columbia. Princeton lost to Rutgers and split four games with Columbia, while St. John's took two of three from Rutgers and downed Columbia.
