May 30, 2007 | Women's Lacrosse
Three Princeton women's lacrosse players, senior Kathleen Miller and juniors Katie Lewis-Lamonica and Norris Novak, were named to the IWLCA/USLacrosse All-America teams announced Wednesday.
Lewis-Lamonica and Miller each earned second-team honors, while Novak was a third-team All-America selection.
Miller led Princeton with a career-high 64 points (47 goals, 17 assists) in 2007, among the top 10 scoring seasons in team history. She was a first-team All Mid-Atlantic regional selection and earned unanimous first-team All-Ivy League honors for the second straight season.
The Alexandria, Va., native, a third-team All-America in 2006, finished her career fourth all-time at Princeton with 207 points. Her 68 career assists are second in team history and her 139 goals rank seventh on the team's all-time list.
Lewis-Lamonica led Princeton in goals for the second straight year in 2007 with 51, equalling the third-best goal-scoring season in program history. Like Miller, she earned first-team all-region honors and was a unanimous first-team All-Ivy choice.
The Lawrenceville, N.J., native, whose seven goals against Temple April 11 were the most by a Princeton player in 17 years, scored on an impressive 56% of her shot attempts in 2007. She will enter her senior season needing just 17 goals and 29 points to move into the top 10 all-time in scoring at Princeton.
Novak, Princeton's top defender, started every game in 2007 and ranked among the team leaders with 27 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers. She was also a first-team All-Ivy League and first-team All Mid-Atlantic region pick.
The Baltimore, Md., native earned second-team all-region honors as a sophomore.
Princeton finished 10-7 overall and 5-2 in the Ivy League in 2007 and reached the NCAA tournament for the 10th consecutive season and 15th time in the last 16 seasons.
