Judson Wallace Signs With UPEA Capo d'Orlando In Italian A1 Division
August 10, 2007 | Men's Basketball
Former Tiger basketball standout Judson Wallace '05 has signed a contract with UPEA Capo d'Orlando in Italy's A1 Division after two seasons playing in Germany's top division, Wallace figures to be one of Orlandina's top players as the club looks to qualify for postseason play in 2007-08.
Wallace spent the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons a key player with Eisbaren Bremerhaven of the German "A" Bundesliga. This past season, he was selected as an all-star in Germany's top divison after averaging 11 points and nearly eight rebounds per game while leading Bremerhaven to the league playoffs.
The 6-10 Wallace's inside-outside game proved to be a difficult matchup for Tiger opponents throughout the Atlanta native's Princeton career. A three-time All-Ivy League selection, he finished his career 16th on the team's all-time scoring list.
UPEA Capo d'Orlando, located on the Northeastern coast of the island of Sicily, is entering its third season as a member of the A1 League, Italy's top basketball division.
Wallace is now one of two former Princetonians playing in Italy's A1 Division. Mason Rocca '00, who also played for the Italian national team in the 2006 World Championships, was one of the league's leading rebounders last season while playing for Eldo Napoli.
