Kareem Maddox Named Ivy Men's Basketball Rookie Of The Week

Princeton freshman forward Kareem Maddox has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week in men's basketball after a strong performance off the bench at Lehigh Sunday.
The 6-8 Maddox played a season-high 16 minutes for the Tigers against the Mountain Hawks and scored all of his team-high eight points in the second half. He shot 3 for 7 from the field in the second half and also had three rebounds.
The Oak Park, Calif., native also made his first career three-point shot in the game. He was fouled in the act of shooting and made the ensuing free throw for a four-point play.
Maddox has played in eight games off the bench this season for Princeton, averaging 9.3 minutes per game.
Princeton returns home Wednesday night to face Lafayette at Jadwin Gym at 7:30 p.m., the first of four consecutive home games for the Tigers.
