Mike Moore Makes NHL Debut Tuesday Night
October 20, 2010 | Men's Ice Hockey
A member of Princeton's Class of 2008, Moore was the captain of the 2008 ECAC and Ivy League Champion Tigers. He signed with San Jose following the his college career and has played for the Sharks' top Minor League affiliate in Worcester, Mass., the past two seasons. Moore made the Sharks roster out of training camp, but was a healthy scratch for the team's first three games of the season.
Last night, Moore took 12 shifts in his first NHL game, recording a single shot on goal.
“You always want your first one to be a win,” Moore told the Sharks website. “It's something you've been working hard towards all your life. It was exciting, but unfortunately we didn't get the win. It's good to get under the belt. It is a little disappointing, but we made some mistakes that cost us.”

Moore is one of five former Tigers currently playing in the NHL, joined by Jeff Halpern (Montreal), George Parros (Anaheim), Darroll Powe (Philadelphia) and Kevin Westgarth (Los Angeles).
