Fencers Complete Day Three in Fifth at NCAAs

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard sneaked past Princeton into fourth place Saturday at the NCAA fencing championships with 113 wins to 108 for the Tigers and three rounds of men's competition left.
In the top three positions are St. John's (152), Penn State (150) and Notre Dame (148).
In the saber, senior Thomas Abend stands 13th while junior John Stogin is in 21st place. Sophomore foilist Alexander Mills is 10th with fellow sophomore David Mandle standing 22nd in the same weapon, and in the epee, Jonathan Yergler is 12th with Graham Wicas in 19th place.
Rounds four through seven will be contested Sunday.
