May 04, 2011 | Men's Basketball
In recognition of its Ivy League championship season, the Princeton men's basketball team held its annual banquet Tuesday, May 3 in the Jadwin Gymnasium lobby.
Seniors Dan Mavraides and Kareem Maddox received the team's three annual awards, Maddox earning the Class of 1959 Bob Rock Sixth Man Award for the second straight year and Mavraides getting the Paul Richard Friedman '81 Award, given to the team's most inspirational player. The two shared the B.F. Bunn 1907 Trophy, the team's most valuable player award.
Mavraides, a second-team All-Ivy League honoree, and Maddox, a first-team All-Ivy Leaguer and the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, helped Princeton to a 25-7 record in 2010-11, earning the team's 26th Ivy League title and 24th NCAA Tournament berth.
