Yale Takes H-Y-P Men's Golf Match

In what was the Princeton men's golf team's first event for the second straight fall, Yale edged Harvard 7.5-6.5 to win a tri-match between the three teams Sunday afternoon at the Sebonack Golf Club on Long Island.
Yale won seven matches to Harvard's six from the 18 total matches while splitting another, and Princeton won four. Bernie D'Amato swept his pair of opponents, defeating Yale's William Davenport on the 17th hole and Harvard's Akash Mirchandani on the 14th. Greg Jarmas finished his match with Yale's Russell Holmes on the 18th hole, while Evan Harmeling beat Harvard's Antonio Grillo on the 14th hole.
The Tigers will return to Long Island to continue their fall season on the Red Course at Bethpage State Park for the McLaughlin Invitational hosted by St. John's.
