Men's Golf Splits First Day at Ivy Match Play Championship

Princeton split its two matches on the first of two days at the Ivy Match Play Championship and will play in a third-place match Sunday morning.
Princeton opened the day with a 4-3 win over Penn, clinched with a 3&2 win by Greg Jarmas over Penn's Ben Cooley. The Tigers were not as fortunate in the semifinal match against Yale, losing 6-1.
Final scores from all matches are below. Harvard and Columbia will finish their match Sunday morning to decide which team plays Yale for the title, and the other from the Harvard-Columbia pair will face Princeton. All matches will begin at 9 a.m. On the other side of the bracket, Penn and Dartmouth will play in the consolation final, while Cornell and Brown will play for seventh.
Round 1:
Yale d. Brown, 4-3
Harvard d. Cornell, 4-3
Columbia d. Dartmouth, 4.5-2.5
Princeton d. Penn, 4-3
Round 2:
Yale d. Princeton, 6-1
Penn d. Brown 5-2
Dartmouth d. Cornell, 4-3
Harvard vs. Columbia suspended, will resume tomorrow.
