PRINCETON, N.J. (10/1/14) - The Princeton men's cross country team returns to the course this weekend as it competes in two meets. The top group will head to the Notre Dame Invitational, while the rest of the team will run at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh.
The Tigers moved up two positions in the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national poll, taking the No. 20 slot. The team is second in the Mid-Atlantic region for the fourth straight week.
Princeton will race in the Blue Race on the Notre Dame Golf Course. The five-mile race is set to start at 5 p.m. The Tigers are one of nine nationally ranked teams in the race. They will be joined by: No. 10 BYU, No. 15 New Mexico, No. 16 NC State, No. 18 Tulsa, No. 19 Michigan, No. 22 Southern Utah, No. 23 Eastern Kentucky, No. 24 Florida State and No. 25 Colorado State.
At Paul Short, the Tigers will compete in the BrownRace. The 8k race is scheduled to begin at 12:15 p.m., on the Goodman campus.
Princeton won Paul Short last year with a score of 94 points, 39 points better than the second-place team. Connor Martin was second overall in the 8k race at 25:15.
