Graff Set to Begin ITA All-America Singles Championship
October 02, 2014 | Women's Tennis
Princeton senior Lindsay Graff is set to begin play at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships with a main-draw Round of 32 match Thursday.
The tournament, which is being held at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, California, will run through Sunday.
Graff, ranked No. 67 in the nation, will face USC senior Zoë Scandalis, ranked No. 15 nationally, at 3 p.m. ET. Of the 32 players in the draw, eight are seeded, and third-seeded Hayley Carter of North Carolina is in Graff's quadrant of the draw. Carter, whose No. 3 national ranking matches her seed, will face 76th-ranked Tereza Bekerova of Utah in the first round.
It will be Graff's third visit to the event but first match in the main singles draw. In 2011 as a freshman, she teamed with Hilary Bartlett '12 in doubles play, and in 2012, Graff was in the qualifying singles draw.
The reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, Graff is 5-0 in singles play so far on the new fall season after winning the top flight at the Penn Invitational two weekends ago.
