December 02, 2015 | Women's Basketball
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's basketball team returns home this weekend for a Sunday afternoon matinee against the University of Michigan.
Sunday's contest against the Wolverines will serve as Princeton Athletics' annual Holiday Hoops Food Drive and Family Day. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. at Jadwin Gymnasium and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
As part of a partnership with the University's Office of Community and Regional Affairs, all fans that bring two non-perishable food items will receive free admission to the game.
Also serving as the Tigers' “Orange Out” game, fans are encouraged to show their Princeton pride by wearing orange. In addition, the first 500 fans will receive a FREE orange t-shirt. As part of Princeton's Family Day festivities, a bounce house and face painter will also be in attendance, with a local youth team scheduled to take the floor during halftime. Following the game, the Tigers will hold an autograph session for fans.
Winners of three-straight, the Princeton women's basketball team carries a 5-1 record into Sunday's contest. Unbeaten Michigan (6-0) will host Pittsburgh on Thursday, Dec. 3 before heading east to face the Tigers. Last season, Princeton powered past the Wolverines at the Crisler Center, 85-55.
