Men's Tennis Completes Day Two at the Ivy Plus Tournament

Two days are down and one's left at the Ivy Plus Tournament at the Lenz Tennis Center.
“This has been a very competitive and high volume of play for everyone so far," Princeton coach Billy Pate said. "With all of our athletes competing, it's a great opportunity for us to continue getting great matches against some very tough opponents. This is starting to have the feel of a national level collegiate tournament and it's a great showcase for Princeton and all of the Ivy teams. The first two days, our guys have been strong in most areas, but there are clearly things we need to address and improve. I've been very impressed yet again with Tom's (Colautti) play as he picked up right where he left off last year. It's great to have a guy in the final of the top singles flight and we look forward to a positive performance from everyone tomorrow as we wrap up the event.”
Colautti and Luke Gamble reached their flight finals with wins Saturday. Colautti, the 118th-ranked player in the nation by the ITA, will face Ciro Ricciardi of Dartmouth for the Tiger Draw title. Ricciardi upset the draw's top seed and the ITA 95th-ranked player in the nation, Nick Bybel of Bucknell, in the second round Friday. Gamble will face Igor Smelyanski of Tennessee in the Pagoda flight final.
