Harvard holds a one-game lead in the series which dates back over 100 years, 42-41-8. The Crimson took a 3-2 game last year in Princeton, which came after two 3-2 Tiger victories over the Crimson in 2015 and 2014. Last year all five goals were tallied in the first half. Princeton's were both scored by seniors while current senior James Reiner assisted on both. Shots were even at 9-9 in the game.
The Crimson are in a four-way tie for third place in the Ivy League with a 1-1-1 record. They defeated Yale 2-1, lost to Cornell 1-0 and tied Brown 1-1. Overall, Harvard is 2-7-3 on the season with its other win coming at Providence. The team has yet to win at home with an 0-4-3 record. Sophomore Philip Hausen has a team-high seven points on two goals and three assists. Freshmen Paolo Belloni-Urso and Cornelius Bencsik as well as senior Christian Sady have also scored twice each.
