Mitchell Named a GCAA All-America Scholar

Rising senior Eric Mitchell has been named a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Wednesday.Â
Mitchell competed in all nine events for the Tigers during the 2016-17 school year and led or co-led the team in two tournaments. He was both a second-team All-Ivy League and an Academic All-Ivy League honoree in 2016, finishing sixth at the Ivy League Championships.
A computer science major, Mitchell was part of a team that won the 2015 HackPrinceton competition, developing an app called CommPound that seeks to gather funds to benefit public-space improvements.Â
