PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers finished second at the ECAC Championships as the events came to an end on Sunday afternoon at Weaver Stadium.
Albany registered the most points in the two-day event with 67. Princeton (54) just beat out Towson (53), followed by VCU (52) and Penn (47). Cornell was sixth with 45 points with Columbia (28) in ninth.
throw the second-best mark in Ivy League history with an impressive 55.92 (183-5) discus throw, coming just four inches within the Ivy League record. She is currently ranked 17th in the NCAA and is ranked third in the world under-20 in the discus.
dominated the 10,000m run, winning by over five seconds against second place finisher Alexandria Ortega of Stony Brook. Her 35.32.18 in the race is also a personal best.
placed third in the Triple Jump with 11.77m. Devon Block-Funkhouser
(1:01.00) and Carly Bonnet
(1:01.44) each earned points for the Tigers, finishing seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 400m hurdles. The 4x400m relay group placed seventh with a time of 3:47.55
The top 48 in each individual event will be eligible for inclusion at the NCAA East Regional with the selections being announced on May 17.
