Princeton Earns 2018 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division-I National Academic Team Award

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers were one of 76 teams to have earned the 2018 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division-I National Academic Team Award.

The Division I National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2018-19 school year.
Brown posted the highest team GPA for the third year in a row with a mark of 3.70. Following Brown on the list of the top-five performers is Sacred Heart with a team GPA of 3.65. Harvard and Yale follow their Ivy League compatriot with GPA's of 3.64 and 3.62, respectively. Rutgers rounds out the top-five performers with a team GPA of 3.61.
Princeton finished 15-5 overall and reached the NCAA Final Four for the second time in three years. More than half of their victories (eight) came against ranked opponents, leading them to be named the No. 3 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
