No. 12 Men's Volleyball Returns to EIVA Action at NJIT

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 12 Princeton University men's volleyball team will return to Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) play Friday night when it takes the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
The Tigers will take on the Highlanders at 6 p.m. inside the NJIT Wellness Center.
Tiger Notes
The 12th-ranked Tigers are 4-4 on the season and 2-0 in EIVA play. Most recently, the Tigers defeated California State University, Northridge, 3-0 on Saturday February 1 inside the Matadome.
On Monday, February 3 sophomore Jerod Nelsen was honored as the EIVA Player of the Week. The following day, on Tuesday, February 4, he was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Player of the Week.
The Tigers are led in kills by senior George Huhmann who has 90 on the season along with a team-high 15 kills. Junior Joe Kelly has a team-high 263 assists and 45 digs while senior Greg Luck leads the Tigers in blocks with 36.
Scouting NJIT
The Highlanders are 5-2 on the season and defeated St. Francis Brooklyn 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-18) in their most recent match on Saturday, February 1 in Newark, New Jersey.
Alvaro Gimeno leads the Highlanders in kills with 79 and service aces with 12 while Roque Nido has a team-high 238 assists. Jens Feldthus leads NJIT in digs with 37 and Luca Berger has a team-high 29 blocks.

The Tigers will take on No.9 Pennsylvania State University (4-4) inside Rec Hall on Friday, February 14 at 7 p.m.
