Dear Princeton: Evan Quinn

Dear Princeton...
Being a member of the Princeton Athletics family has been an honor and a privilege these past four years. The opportunities afforded to me by the Princeton Men’s Golf Team have been incredible and have defined my college experience. I feel strongly that the lessons I have learned outside the classroom have contributed significantly to my personal growth, and for that I am thankful.

Although my teammates and I will not have a chance to defend our Ivy League Championship, I know the decision to cancel the spring season was made with our best interests in mind. It is my hope that every student-athlete at Princeton and around the country can appreciate the necessity of this decision, despite the terribly unfortunate consequences. Although the rest of my time at Princeton will not include athletics, I know the relationships I have formed during my time here will last long after graduation.

The wonderful memories I have made while competing for Princeton would have been impossible without the support of numerous faculty fellows, trainers, and generous alumni. Thank you so much for always helping me to achieve my academic and athletic goals. To my teammates, thank you for your unwavering commitment to this team, and for always believing in me as a player. I am so proud to have been your captain, and I know the team culture we have developed is a testament to our hard work and dedication.

Most specifically I would like to thank Coach Green for his willingness to help in every way possible. Your positivity and constant reassurance have been so important to the success of this program since well before I stepped on campus. Although my career has come to an end, I am so excited to remain a member of the Princeton Athletics community.

I am so appreciative of everyone who has made my last four years so unforgettable.
Every day really is a great day to be a Tiger.
Sincerely,
Evan Quinn '20
