Ivy League Names Lucia Scalamandre Rookie of the Week for Seventh Time

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the seventh time in the 2022 season, freshman Lucia Scalamandre of the Princeton University women's volleyball team has been honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
Scalamandre guided the Tigers to a weekend sweep of Columbia and Cornell, helping the Princeton finish conference play with a 13-1 record and clinch a share of Ivy League title. She averaged 2.17 kills per set on a .379 hitting percentage, and recorded seven blocks.
In the Tigers' 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-14) win at Columbia on Friday, November 11, in New York, New York, she finished with 17 kills with a .412 hitting percentage and four blocks, then followed up with 12 kills on a .333 hitting percentage, along with three blocks and two digs in the Tigers 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-21) victory over Cornell in Ithaca, New York, on Saturday, November 12.
