Ting Leads Tigers as Men's Golf Team Stands Third at William & Mary

Max Ting and Jackson Fretty each had an eagle during Monday's first of two days of play at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary on the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club's Gold Course in Williamsburg, Va.

Fretty eagled the par-five second hole during the first round, and Ting eagled the par-four 13th in the second round on the way to leading Princeton after 36 holes. Overall, Ting stands tied for 11th at even par, five shots back of leader Chip Deegan of Navy. Deegan's 5-under score enters Tuesday's final round two shots better than second-place Pyae Phyo Thu of Fairleigh Dickinson (-3).

Princeton stands tied for third as a team at +10, five strokes back of leader Fairleigh Dickinson (+5). Navy is second, three shots back of FDU at +8.

Tuesday's final round will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and Princeton on the first five holes. Individuals Nathan Drogin and Connor Belcastro will start on the 17th hole.
