Dylan Sheridan, who helped Denver to three Final Four appearances in four years on the staff, is in his first season as the defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator for the Tigers.
Sheridan worked with former Princeton head coach Bill Tierney in Denver, working first with the face-off specialists and then becoming defensive coordinator there. Denver advanced to the Final Four in 2011, 2013 and 2014.The 2014 Pioneers had the top-ranked defense in the Big East and the 10th-ranked defense in Division I, allowing 8.47 goals per game.
He also was the recruiting coordinator at Denver as well.
Sheridan is a 2006 graduate of Claremont McKenna College in California, where he was a member of the club lacrosse team, serving as team captain three times and earning MCLA All-America honors three times. He was also a three-time All-West Coast Lacrosse League selection and the WCLL Player of the Year his senior year, as well as a four-year member of the football team.
After graduation he played for three years with the Denver Outlaws in Major League Lacrosse.
He began his coaching career at Division II Pfeiffer and also coached at Division III Lebanon Valley. He moved to Denver as the volunteer assistant in 2011 before moving up to second assistant and then defensive coordinator.
In addition to his work at Denver, he was also the head coach of the national team from Thailand at the 2014 World Championships. He has also been a very active member of the club lacrosse community in Denver.
He is married to the former Brianne Tierney, an assistant women's lacrosse coach at Lafayette who was also the 2012 Commonwealth Conference Coach of the Year while at Lebanon Valley College.
