Dear Princeton...
Thank you for the best years of my life. I feel incredibly grateful to be part of Princeton Athletics and to have had the opportunity to represent Princeton every day. Over the past four years, Princeton has become my home and Princeton Golf has become my family. In these uncertain times, it is my hope that everyone stays safe and takes care of their loved ones. I am confident that we will remain the strongest of communities and that our unity will propel us forward. By supporting and relying on one another, I have no doubt that we will finish this most unusual semester as best we can.

I would like to thank Mollie Marcoux Samaan for supporting our Women's Golf program in every way possible. While I was devastated and heartbroken to hear that we would not have the opportunity to compete in one last Ivy Championship, I understand this decision was made with the best interests of our community and country in mind. It is evident now more than ever that our health and safety are the top priorities at this difficult juncture.
I would also like to extend my gratitude to the Princeton Golf family, including my teammates, alumni, trainers, faculty fellows, Springdale Golf Club staff, and the many others who supported us along our journey. Thank you for your endless encouragement and for providing us with the best experience imaginable.

Lastly, I would like to thank our coaches, Coach DeSanty and Coach Green. Coach DeSanty is one of the biggest role models in my life, both on and off the course. I would not be the person I am today without her guidance. Thank you, Coach, for everything, and especially for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime to represent Princeton and be a part of the Princeton family forever.
Being captain this year has been the greatest privilege. I am immensely proud of the culture our team has developed and of each and every one of my teammates. I am so excited for the success that Princeton Women's Golf will have in the future and I can't wait to support them along the way.
I wish I could relive every Princeton Golf experience over and over. I am leaving with the best memories and friends for life.
Thank you, Princeton, for everything,
Maya Walton '20
