June 02, 2026 | Women's Golf
A first-year season to remember for Thanana Kotchasanmanee has led to a pair of honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association as she has been named to both the Division I All-Freshman Team Presented By The AJGA and was also named an honorable mention WGCA Division I All-American.
"What a way for Thanana to close out a historic season," said head coach Erika DeSanty. "Watchin her growth over the course of the season has been tremendous as a coach. She has been steady all season, enjoying each moment and making the best of every opportunity she has earned. Her energy and leadership are contagious and there are only brighter and better days ahead as she moves into the next stage of her collegiate career."
Kotchasanmanee, the 2026 Ivy League Player of the Year and Ivy League Rookie of the Year, recently made Ivy League history with her 12th place finish at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships which marked the highest-ever individual finish at the NCAA Championships by an Ivy League player.
She is Princeton's third WGCA All-American, joining Mary Moan (1997) and Kelly Shon (2013) who also were named honorable mention All-Americans.
The 2026 Ivy League champion, Kotchasanmanee ended the season ranked No. 38 in the Clippd rankings and posted a season scoring average of 70.5 over her 28 rounds of stroke play. She earned medalist honors at three events -- the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, the Ivy League Championship, and the Princeton Invitational.
Away from collegiate play, she won a U.S. Open Qualifier held in Springfield, Va. and will compete at the U.S. Women's Open at historic Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles from June 4-7.
