Applying to Princeton
Princeton offers two options for applying for first-year admission — single-choice early action and regular decision. Before you begin preparing your application, we encourage you to review Princeton’s standardized testing policy, which includes detailed information regarding our standardized testing requirements. Information about the formal application process is available here. For information regarding taking the SAT, please visit the College Board website. For information on the ACT, click here.
The application process begins after Aug. 1 of your senior year. There is of course no formula for gaining admission to Princeton. Princeton brings together a varied mix of high-achieving, intellectually gifted students from diverse backgrounds to create an exceptional learning community.
The Office of Admission is pleased to answer questions regarding the application process.
