Thanana Kotchasanmanee won Princeton's 13th Ivy League championship, besting a field of 36 competitors to stand atop the leaderboard at the 2026 Ivy League Women's Golf Championship held at world-famous Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey.
Kotchasanmanee was two-shots better than Harvard's Lucy Yuan, shooting a three-day total of 220 (+4) on the famed Lower Course which has hosted 18 major championships in its 130-year history, including seven U.S. Opens, two U.S. Women's Opens, two PGA Championships, and the 2023 Women's PGA Championship.
She led the entire way, shooting an opening-round 70 (-2) before posting a 77 (+5) during Saturday's rain-soaked second round. On Sunday, Kotchasanmanee shot a 73 (+1) to take the clubhouse lead with Yuan on the course five holes behind. With Kotchasanmanee watching from the clubhouse, Yuan bogeyed the 16th and 18th holes making Kotchasanmanee's +4 good enough for the win.
The first Princetonian to win Ivy League medalist honors since Victoria Liu in 2024, Kotchasanmanee awaits her NCAA Regional destination which will be announced on April 29 at 5 p.m. live on the Golf Channel.
Kotchasanmanee showed great resilience in her final round, twice bouncing back from bogeys. After a 6 on the par-5 7th hole, she followed up right away with a birdie on the par-4 8th hole. Her second nine started with a double-bogey on the par-4 10th hole, but she answered with 3 on the par-4 14th hole to get back to +4 overall. Headed home on the 18th hole, she gutted our a par after putting a ball in the water on the par-5 finishing hole to establish her clubhouse lead that stood up.
As a team, Princeton was third out of the six teams, finishing at +49. Columbia won the team trophy, its first since 2007, with a score of +36. Harvard was second at +43. As if Baltusrol wasn't challenging enough, the second round on Saturday was played almost exclusively in heavy rain which resulted in the best team score on Saturday being a +21 from Penn. The Tigers struggled on Day Two like everyone else, shooting a +32 after opening with a +8 on Friday to lead after the first day. On Sunday, Princeton's +9 as a team was the second-best score behind only Columbia's +2.
Another Princeton first-year player, Sarah Lim, had a standout final round as she shot a 71 (-1) on Sunday. She birdied 2 and 4, followed by a bogey on 9 before parring every hole on the back nine. That round vaulted her into a tie for seventh place at +10.
