
Women's Track & Field/XC Welcomes 14 As Class Of 2029

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women’s track & field/cross country team welcomes 14 talented newcomers as its Class of 2029.
The Tigers welcome Kyah Anderson, Caroline Barton, Abigail Errington, Nelly Floutakou, Delia Gregory, Lotte Gretzler, Ava John, Jane Kennedy, Caroline Mauro, Laila Payne, Julia Santos, Anika Scott, Liz Williamson and Elizabeth Yeboah-Kodie.

This past fall, she took another impressive step by winning the Division 3 California individual state cross country title improving by 42 places and nearly 2 minutes. Abigail ranks inside the top 15 nationally at two miles in 2025, indicating she is well prepared for college competition in all seasons.”

Her steady improvement at 400M and 800M sets her up to immediately add to our nationally prominent middle distance crew. The indoor season is suited for Nelly to shine individually and across all relays in the Ivy League. The elite level of the NCAA will bring out the very best in Nelly as she explores her range on the oval.”

Coach Comment: “Caroline is a 4 Time Oregon state champion in the high jump, the third girl in Oregon history to win four straight state titles in a single event. Caroline thrived against the best competition in the country, finishing in the top six at the Nike Outdoor Nationals and USATF U-20 Championships in 2024. Caroline will come into a high jump group that was a top ten nationally ranked group in 2025. We’re excited to see how high Caroline can take the Tigers.”

Coach Eisenreich was the first coach I spoke with during my recruitment process, and ever since then, each new piece of information I learn has made me fall more in love with the school. Throughout my recruitment process, an aspect that was important to me was whether a school’s athletics program valued academics as much as athletics. In Princeton, my hope rang true. I quickly discovered that the coaches and staff are dedicated to supporting athletes' success academically and on the track, with practices even being planned to accommodate students’ individual class schedules. I was sure that Princeton would be a place where I could compete at the highest level of track while also challenging myself to excel academically. Additionally, when I visited campus in the fall, I was overcome by how welcoming and cohesive the team was, and I couldn't wait to be a part of it.”

She could be one of the most dynamic track athletes in the entire Ivy League. Her elite skillsets in the flat sprints and sprint hurdles lead to a promising future in her primary event, the 400m hurdles. Laila has the potential to compete for Ivy League Heptagonal titles during all four of her undergraduate years at Princeton.”

She is dedicated, a hard worker, has a great attitude toward competition and supports her teammates who train alongside her. Anika finished her senior indoor season as US #8 in the 55-meter hurdles, setting a New England Championship record in the process. Her best long jump as a junior had ranked US #23. She will contend for major Heps points in the 60m hurdles and long jump, with potential to grow into a great 100m hurdler.”

Everyone I've met has been so kind, especially the coaches and the team who've made me feel reassured that I will have support and comradery in this new chapter of my life. For the first time in her career, she will be surrounded by NCAA-level horizontal jumpers and a nationally ranked sprint hurdles group. We are eager to see how Elizabeth will leave her mark on our program.”
