Giordano, Carrigan and Scoot Earn All-America Honors as Tigers Close Out NCAA Championships

EUGENE, ORE. – Three Tigers earned All-America honors in Layla Giordano, Alysa Carrigan and Georgina Scoot as the Princeton women's track and field team concluded competition at the NCAA Championships in Eugene on Saturday.
Sophomore Giordano started the day, earning First Team All-America honors in the discus. With her first trip to NCAAs, Giordano threw 56.94m/186-10 to take sixth place and earn First Team distinction.
Carrigan was next up in the high jump. Saving her best performance for the biggest stage, Carrigan set a new program record as she cleared 1.84m/6-0.5 on her third attempt. The jump earned her 11th place and Second Team All-America honors.
Georgina Scoot closed out the Tiger competition in the triple jump. Clearing 13.38m/43-10¾, Scoot took seventh place to earn her second First Team All-American title.
After earning Honorable Mention distinction in the long jump, it is her second All-America honors of the week.
The Tigers will leave Eugene with seven All-Americans as Alexandra Kelly (LJ), Angela McAuslan-Kelly (Hammer), and Tessa Mudd (PV) earned All-America Honorable Mention honors in their respective events.
With the 2025-26 season now concluded, back-to-back Ivy Triple Crown Champion, Princeton, can look back on an outstanding year full of success at the individual level and as a team before turning its attention ahead to the 2026-27 athletic year, to begin with the return of cross country competition in the fall.
