Carrigan Sets New Program High Jump Record as Tigers Conclude Larry Ellis

PRINCETON, N.J. – Alysa Carrigan set a program record in the high jump as the Princeton women's track and field team closed out the regular season with day two of the Larry Ellis Invitational on Saturday.
In a duel with Penn State's Hannah Riolo for the event win, Carrigan came out on top as she cleared 1.82m/5-11.5. Her mark bested the 1998 Princeton record of 1.81m, set by Shawneequa Callier '00. She is now tied for 25th in the NCAA.
Georgina Scoot also matched her program record of 13.39m / 43-11.25 in the triple jump as she took the win, with Alexandra Kelly taking second at 13.07m/42-10.75.
Lotte Gretzler won the pole vault, clearing 4.10m/13-5.25.
Maddie Cramer won the 1500m with a time of 4:25.37, while Emma de Jong took third at 4:27.31 and Finia Kretschmann took fourth at 4:28.48.
Julie Jongejeugd ran 13.77 in the 100m hurdles, setting a new PR as she moves up to fifth in the Princeton all-time leaderboard.
In the throws, Layla Giordano took second in the discus, throwing 52.37m/171-10. She also took seventh in the shot put with 14.84m/48-8.25, while Makenna Marshall took sixth with a throw of 15.06m/49-5.
A 4x100 relay squad of Brooke Jackson, Maisha Atkinson, Laila Payne and Soraya Patterson ran 45.46 for second place.

The Tigers will now turn their attention to the Ivy Outdoor Championships as they look to complete a second-consecutive triple crown. Heps will be held on May 16th and 17th at home in Weaver Stadium.
