PRINCETON, N.J. – Looking to complete a historic second-consecutive Ivy League Triple Crown, the Princeton women's track and field team will host the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championships on Saturday and Sunday in Weaver Stadium.
After winning both the cross country and indoor track Ivy League titles, the Tigers are one outdoor championship away from winning back-to-back women's Triple Crowns - the first in league history.
The Tigers are coming off a dominant outdoor season that saw the Tigers set two Ivy League records and five program records so far.
Most recently, Alysa Carrigan set a new program record in the high jump at Larry Ellis. Tessa Mudd and Layla Giordano topped the league record books this season in the pole vault and the discus, respectively. Georgina Scoot also tallied the furthest non-wind-aided triple jump in league history.
Princeton was ranked 14th in the latest USTFCCCA poll.
The Tigers rank in the top-10 in the javelin and the long jump in the event-squad rankings. Shea Greene heads the javelin squad with a throw of 56.76m from Spec Towns, while Alexandra Kelly leads the long jump squad with 6.58m. Both marks rank in the top-five nationally.
The Tigers are also in the top-15 in the shot put (11th), the 5000m (12th) and the high jump (13th).
This outdoor season, the program looks to complete a second-straight Ivy League Triple Crown, so far having won the cross country and indoor Ivy titles this academic year.
At the NCAA Indoor Championships, Kelly and Georgina Scoot both earned First Team All-America honors in the long jump and triple jump, respectively.
Kelly was named the USTFCCCA's Mid-Atlantic Field Athlete of the Year. Associate Head Coach Reuben Jones also earned regional Assistant Coach of the Year.
At last year's outdoor Heps, the Tigers claimed victory with 202.5 points, claiming seven individual champions. Sweeping the long jump and the triple jump, Scoot was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet.
The Tigers are led by Head Coach Michelle Eisenreich, in her 10th season at the helm. Named the 2026 Indoor Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year, Eisenreich also earned her third-straight Ivy League Coach of the Year award during this indoor season. The 2024-25 Triple Crown was the program's first under her leadership.
