Eliza Stone began serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the Princeton fencing programs following her graduation from Princeton in 2013.
Stone had an extraordinarily successful career as a Princeton saber fencer, finishing as the first four-time All-America saberist in Princeton history while winning the 2013 NCAA saber title. In that gold-medal match, the final one of her Tiger career, Stone rallied from a 9-4 deficit to win 15-10 and become Princeton's second-ever woman to win an NCAA individual fencing title. Earlier in the day, Stone's performance in the pool bouts helped Princeton to its first-ever NCAA team fencing title.
Within the Ivy, Stone was a three-time all-league honoree and was named the Most Outstanding Performer at the 2013 Ivy League round-robins before going on to win the NCAA regional and national titles.
Stone, who helped the Tigers win Ivy League titles in all four years as a competitor, was a politics major at Princeton.
