Game Summary

After fighting to a draw through the first half, Princeton saw 22nd-ranked Rutgers strike quickly early in the second half, getting two goals in a span of 1:17 on the way to a 3-0 win Thursday night at Roberts Stadium.

Rutgers' Samantha Valliant finished a cross along the endline just 1:42 after the half began, and Cassie Inacio scored the first of her two goals when she pounced on a shot by teammate Jennifer Andresen that came down off the crossbar and sat just in front of the goal line. Inacio struck again less than 10 minutes later, heading home a volley from Brianne Reed to make it 3-0.

Game Notes

• Rutgers has now won five straight in the series, with Princeton's last win coming in 2007.

• Hannah Winner's eight saves were a career high. She had 14 career saves coming into the game over her two-plus seasons.

• Rutgers had five corner kicks to Princeton's three. It was the first time this season that Princeton had allowed a corner kick, having blanked both Howard and Fordham in that stat.
