Princeton No. 12 in the Penn Montco/NFHCA Coaches' Poll; No. 10 in NCAA RPI

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Tigers currently sit at No. 12 in the latest Penn Montco/National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) Division I Coaches' Poll released today. Princeton is also No. 10 in the most recent NCAA RPI rankings.

Head coach Carla Tagliente's squad traveled on the road last weekend, improving to 2-0 in the Ivy League with a 3-0 decision over Yale on Saturday. The next day, the Tigers fell to No. 5 Penn State, 4-2.

The last remaining undefeated team in the country, Connecticut, is the top team in the coaches' poll for the second straight week. Princeton's opponent this upcoming Sunday, Duke, is No. 2 with nine first-place votes, followed by North Carolina, Syracuse and Penn State.

The top five in the RPI rankings features the same five teams as the coaches' poll, except that Syracuse places No. 3 and North Carolina is No. 4. Harvard is the second highest Ivy League school in the RPI in the No. 14 position.

This week, Princeton takes on Columbia on the road (6:30 p.m.) before No. 2 Duke comes to Bedford on Sunday (1 p.m.). The Duke game can be seen on the Ivy League Digital Network.
