Fresh off being named Ivy League Co-Pitcher of the Week, junior Chad Powers showed he was an offensive threat as well, doubling to left center to lead off the second. The next hitter Phillips singled Powers home to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. On the play, Phillips moved to third base on a throwing error. Hoy ripped a base hit up the middle, scoring the junior a batter later. An infield single by Hernandez a few plays later put Princeton ahead, 3-0.
The Midshipmen got one back on a RBI knock from Stephen Born in the bottom of the third frame. Phillips' run-scoring single in the sixth tacked on another insurance tally for Princeton.
After allowing a run in the third, Mingo sent Navy down in order in the fourth inning. Following a single to begin the fifth, the senior got a line-out double play to finish off the threat. A strikeout completed the sixth inning, leaving the Midshipmen with a runner on. Mingo wrapped up the victory for Princeton by sending Navy down in order again in the seventh inning.

Princeton had nine hits in the game with seven different players recording a knock. Senior Billy Arendt and junior Zack Belski had multi-hit outings. Junior Keelan Smithers started the contest for the Tigers, going five innings, giving up two hits and an earned run. Senior Chris Giglio did not allow a run in three frames of relief.
