The Princeton women's basketball team enjoyed a wonderful Friday as it spoke to a group of juniors and seniors at the Meriden School in Western Sydney on Leadership. After that, the team made the trek on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, standing 440 feet above the city. On Saturday, the team will travel to Bondi Beach before battling the Waratah All-Stars later in the evening.

Cheers Mates,
Â
Welcome to Day 3 of our Aussie adventure! We started today with another group discussion about our team read and talked about courage and communication, both qualities our young team needs moving forward into this season.
Â
We took our knowledge of Jay Bilas' book, "Toughness" and relayed his message along with our own thoughts on leadership to juniors and seniors attending Meriden, an all-girls school in Western Sydney. Being a women's team led by a strong female staff, we could cater our message to them and be able to relate to them in order to give helpful advice on leadership in the classroom, life, and in sport. The best part of the conversation with these young girls was seeing their enthusiasm for life as they enter a world with so much opportunity in addition to their gratitude and appreciation for us. We snapped a few selfies for Snapchat and even added a couple of them as friends, shout-out to Tia.
Â
After our leadership talk, we headed back into the city near the harbour where we ate lunch at The Rocks Friday Foodie Market. There, the team ate burgers, steak sandwiches, and had another tasting of some barbecued "roo" (kangaroo that is) and crocodile.Â
Â
Just around the corner from the foodie market was the Sydney Harbour Bridge where we were fortunate enough, thanks to our donors, to climb 440 feet. This is a climb that Will Smith, Oprah, and even Will Ferrell did. Our tour guide and new best mate Adam spit bars with us as we prepped and piped it up beforehand. During our climb, Adam dropped some knowledge on us about the city of Sydney and its history. Being that high above the city, we were able to see Bondi Beach, Fort Denison, the Queen's and Prime Minister's Residences, and Luna Park, a park intended as a gift for the residents that had to endure the noise and inconvenience of the construction of the bridge.
Â
To end the night, we had another great outdoor dinner paired with endless laughs and unforgettable memories.
Â
Signing off,
LesÂ
