Â
The Princeton women's basketball team took a stroll along the Bondi Beach before winning its second game in Australia over the Waratah All-Stars. Sunday is a travel day for the Tigers as they make the trip to Cairns and then enjoy the Australian wildlife at the Rainforest Wildlife Park.

Senior Jackie Reyneke explains the day four of the trip …
Â
HooRoo (Hello)!
Â
Today was our second GAME DAY of the trip and we fought out another win against the Waratah All Stars, 87-71! It was awesome to see us grow so much from last game - we are excited to get better every day even if it's from across the world.
Â
We started off the day with another lavish breakfast, which even included a juice-making competition (Tia was the winner with a simple, yet delicious, watermelon and cantaloupe mixture). Following that, we broke into our positional groups to discuss the chapters titled Persistence, Next Play, and Commitment of Jay Bilas' book, "Toughness." Thanks to the guidance of the book and our coaches, we are continuing to learn about ourselves, each other, and what kind of team we want to be. After discussions, Coach Banghart invited everyone into her hotel room for a productive film session. It made us eager for game time!
Â
But first, off to the beach! At least half of the team found their future vacation home location, or at least I did. After a short bus ride from the hotel, we took a coastal walk from Bronte Beach to Bondi Beach. The views were stunning and while you should check out our pictures, they simply won't do it justice. Free time included walking around the shops, buying souvenirs, watching hundreds of surfers out on the waves, and checking out the skate park.
Â
On our way back we stopped at a cute restaurant on the harbour for the pregame meal, got some short rest at the hotel, boarded the bus, then got focused and ready for the game. The energy was great and we came away with win number two! Shout out to Vanessa's mom and Aunt Traci, faculty fellows (Bryant and KJ), and trip coordinators (Courtney and Jared) for being loud out in the stands. After post-game pizza for dinner, a fun bus ride back to the hotel, now we have to pack up to leave for Cairns bright and early!
Â
Good on ya Mates!
Jackie
