The Princeton women's basketball team spent the second day in Cairns by traveling to the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. While there, the team experienced the showcases of the 40,000-year-old Aboriginal culture through dance and song. The Tigers also played the Cairns Dolphins, scoring their third victory of the trip. Tuesday's tasks will include a practice before conducting a youth clinic for the Yarrabah Police-Citizens Youth Club.
Be sure to check out the team's social media accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat as they show off how their trip is going.

Greetings from Aussie!
Â
Today the Tigers enjoyed their first morning in Cairns, Australia! Coming from our wonderful hotel in Sydney, our breakfast expectations were very high. Of course, the breakfast in Cairns met and maybe exceed our expectations as we were met with a made-to-order omelette bar, a juicer, an orange squeezer, and some bomb smoothies! The day only got better from there.
Â
We loaded up the bus and headed to the Taluka Aboriginal Cultural Park where we experienced the incredible culture of the natives in Australia. We learned about different tribes and clans, their different beliefs, and their intriguing traditions and customs. We also were able to test our art abilities by painting our own boomerangs, making our own bracelets, as well as try our hunting skills by learning how to throw spears and boomerangs. However, the best part of the day was when the players took on the coaches in a hut-building competition that, of course, got competitive very quickly (of course the players won).
Â
The team then headed back to the hotel where we ate a delicious pregame meal, took a much needed nap, and made the trek to our last game here in Australia. With great efforts from every member of our team, we defeated the Cairns Dolphins, thus giving us a 3-0 record for our time in Australia. A quick post game dinner and a little hot tub time followed as we prepare for another great day tomorrow in this beautiful city!
Â
Stay tuned to read about the many great experiences to come on our trip in Aussie!
Â
Over and out,
Tia
