Princeton No. 11 In NCAA RPI, No. 14 in NFHCA Coaches' Poll

Coaches' Poll
CHANDLER, Ariz., - Following its 1-1 weekend, the Princeton Tigers remain at No. 14 in the Penn Montco/NFHCA Division I Coaches' Poll. The Tigers are also No. 11 in the Division I RPI rankings.

On Friday, behind two goals from MaryKate Neff, the Tigers dropped Columbia, 3-0, at Bedford Field. Princeton had a 19-4 shot advantage and 9-3 lead in penalty corners.

Two days later, the No. 1 UConn Huskies defeated Princeton, 5-3, in a game that featured a combined five second-half goals. Ryan McCarthy recorded two tallies in the contest. The Tigers' three goals were the most that UConn have given since Oct. 30, 2016. Princeton finished the game with a lead in shots (16-8) and corners (7-3).

For her performance, McCarthy was selected as the Ivy League Player of the Week for the second time this season. The senior captain has been incredible over her last two seasons, recording 24 goals and seven assists for 55 points in 32 games.

UConn, as the lone unbeaten squad in Division I, sits atop the Coaches' poll with 43-of-45 first place votes. Duke, Michigan, Virginia and North Carolina complete the top-five. Harvard is No. 13 in the poll.

The NCAA RPI top-five rankings remain almost the same with the lone exception, Penn State, at No. 5. The Tigers are eight spots in front of Harvard (No. 19) in the rankings.

Head coach Carla Tagliente's unit travels to Brown on Saturday (12 p.m.) before an excursion to Northeastern on Sunday (1 p.m.).
