Princeton Jumps to No. 12 In NCAA RPI, Remains Steady at No. 14 in Coaches' Poll

CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Princeton Tigers remained No. 14 in the latest Penn Montco/NFHCA Division I Coaches' Poll.

No. 14 Princeton dropped No. 15 Harvard in Cambridge, 3-0, on Saturday. The Crimson came into the game first in the Ivy in goals per game (4.08) and fifth in the country. The Tigers shut them out for the first time all season and held them to just four shots on goal.

For her performance, Julianna Tornetta was honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second time in her career.

UConn, at 15-0, is the top squad in the poll with 41-of-43 first-place votes. The Huskies defeated Princeton, 5-3, on Oct. 8. Michigan, Virginia and Penn State are also in the top five.

The Tigers are also No. 12 in the NCAA RPI rankings, jumping two spots after their victory. Duke hurdled UConn for the top spot, followed by Virginia, Michigan and North Carolina.

Princeton wraps up the home portion of its schedule Saturday (12 p.m.) against Cornell. It will be Senior Day as the Tigers will honor its fifth seniors, Danielle Duseau, Rachel Park, Lexi Quirk, Sarah Brennan and Ryan McCarthy.
