Heavyweights Bring In Deep, Talented Class Of 2021
October 25, 2017 | Heavyweight Rowing
The Princeton heavyweights have medaled at Eastern Sprints and placed in the Top 4 at the IRA National Championships in each of the last four years, and the Tigers' overall team depth has been enough to bring home two Rowe Cups (Sprints team title) over the last three years, as well as place second in the 2016 Jim Ten Eyck Memorial Trophy team points race at IRA.
Head coach Greg Hughes has believed that the depth of his program would power Princeton in both the 1V and team competitions, and he built upon that depth with another loaded incoming freshman class.
The Princeton heavyweights brought in 10 members of the Class of 2021, including several who have competed in grand finals at either the World Junior or World U-23 Rowing Championships. Four of them made their collegiate debut in Princeton's 'B' boat at last weekend's Head of the Charles, where they finished within the Top 20, while several others will make their debuts this Sunday at the Princeton Chase.
Here are the bios for the Heavyweight Class of 2021.
