Princeton Steady at No. 12 in NCAA RPI, No. 14 Coaches' Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the fourth straight week, the Princeton Tigers remain at No. 14 in the Penn Montco/NFHCA Coaches' Poll, the organization announced today. The Tigers also remained at No. 12 in the NCAA RPI rankings.

Last Saturday, the Tigers (10-6, 6-0 Ivy) used a hat trick from Ryan McCarthy in its 5-1 takedown of the Cornell Big Red (8-6, 2-4 Ivy) on Senior Day at Bedford Field.

McCarthy saved her best performance for her final home game as she recorded her first career hat trick in the victory. She now has a team-leading 15 goals this season and jumped into the program's top-10 in career points (95), combined goals and assists (59) and goals (41). She would later be honored as the Ivy League Player of the Week for the third time this year.

With the victory, Princeton clinched a share of the Ivy League championship, its 25th all-time, and the Ivy's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. It will be the 22nd time that the Tigers have made the Big Dance.

The last remaining undefeated team, UConn, is No. 1 in the Coaches' Poll with 39-of-44 first place votes. Duke, Michigan, Virginia and Penn State follow. Harvard is the other Ivy unit in the top 25, sitting at No. 16.

Duke is the No. 1 squad in RPI according to the NCAA with UConn, Virginia, Michigan and North Carolina behind the Blue Devils.

Princeton will look to clinch the outright Ivy League title on the road at Penn. Princeton has won 12 straight and 22 of the last 23 against the Quakers. The game will take place on Saturday (Nov. 4) and start at 12 p.m.
