Meyers Named Ivy Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the third straight week, Princeton had an Ivy League Rookie of the Week accolade with Abby Meyers picking up the honors, the conference announced today.
Meyers was sparkling in just 15 minutes of action on Saturday. The freshman dropped in 13 points, sank three treys, had two assists and two steals in the 63-57 victory over Davidson. In front by two with 17 seconds to go, Meyers made a remarkable reverse layup with the shot clock winding down to put the game away.
For the season, the freshman is averaging 9.0 points, 3.0 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 15.3 minutes per game. She's shooting 6-of-16 from beyond the arc (37.5 percent.). Carlie Littlefield was picked as Rookie of the Week the previous two weeks.
Princeton heads home to welcome to Villanova on Wednesday (5:30 p.m.) and Delaware on Saturday (5:00 p.m.) to Jadwin Gym. Both games will be streamed on the Ivy League Network while the game vs. Delaware can also be seen on television on NBC Sports Philadelphia +.
